  1. Is your school and instructors certified by the State of Wisconsin?  
    Yes,  Our School and our instructors are State certified.

  2. What is necessary to enroll?
    Students have 2 options to enroll.  They can check the class schedule, find a class that they would like to take and fill out our on-line class reservation request or they can call us at 920-731-2121 and indicate that they wish to become a student.  Upon successful registration in class the student will receive a packet of information that verifies the starting date of the class that was chosen along with an enrollment form and related materials.  Included in the information is the date which your class deposit is due.  The deposit guarantees the space that you requested.  (The deposit is applied against the total cost of the program.)

  3. May I Enroll in just the classroom or just the behind the wheel portion of the program?
    Yes.  You may enroll in either behind the wheel and or classroom or both.  Credits are transferable with all public schools.  

  4. What is the cost of the program?
    The total cost of the behind the wheel program and classroom training is $330. (Check our office for specials) Please see the program information link at the top of the page for complete details and additional options.

  5. Where are the classroom sessions held?
    Our Appleton Classes are held at 117 North Douglas Street
    Our Kaukauna Classes are held at 200 E. Second Street.

  6. What is the length of the training program?
    A.  Classroom:  Classroom includes 15 sessions of two  hours each 

     4:00 PM to 6:00 PM  Classes are conducted five days per week Monday through Friday for 3 weeks.

    6:00 PM to 8:00 PM  Classes are conducted four days a week, Monday through Thursday.

    B.  Behind the Wheel:   The program consists of six two hour sessions.  One hour of  the sessions is spent driving and one hour of the sessions is spent in observation.

    NOTE:  The State of Wisconsin requires that a minimum of 19 days elapse between the first and last behind the wheel lesson.

  7. What is the attendance policy?
    A.  Classroom: 
    Mandatory attendance is required by the State of Wisconsin.  Absence for emergency situations may be granted with verification from the parent or guardian.  Students will not be excused for basketball games, play practice etc.  A limit of two absences may be allowed with a substantial written assignment.   The third absence will require  that the student be dropped from the class.

    B.  Behind the Wheel:  We urge the students to keep all of their appointments for behind the wheel lessons.  In the event of an emergency, advise us as soon as possible.  In all cases twenty-four hour advance notice is required.  ALL CANCELLATIONS LESS THAN TWENTY FOUR (24) HOURS WILL BE ASSESSED A $30.00 PENALTY.

  8. How do I get my Instructional  Permit? (Temps):
    Students will be given the written test to obtain their temps by the Department of Motor Vehicles.  After the student has their temps they may sign up for behind the wheel lessons.  The requirements for instructional  permits will be furnished on the first day of class.

  9. Can I use a Drivers' Education of the Fox Cities Vehicle for my road test?
    Yes, our vehicles are available for your use during your road test.  Please advise your BTW instructor or call the office at least 1 week before your scheduled road test appointment.  This option is only provided for our students.  Complete information is provided in our "program information link" at the top of the page.

  10. How do I change a behind the wheel appointment?:
    You can change a behind the wheel appointment by calling our office at least 24 hours in advance.  Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are accessed a $30 penalty.  The office number is (920)-731-2121.

  11. How do I schedule my behind the wheel training?
    Scheduling the Behind the wheel training  occurs after the student passes their temps test and the student receives their temporary license (learning permit).  A behind the wheel (BTW) sign-up sheet is used during the classroom session,  where the student provides their name and license number.  This list is used by our office to assign BTW instructors. If the student receives their temp license after the classroom session is over then the student must call our office with the above information.
